Cahokia Creek Kennels
Cahokia Creek Kennels Incorporated was established in 2009 and is owned by Chad Bartels and Crystal Isbell.. We are located about 35 miles North of St. Louis in Edwardsville, Illinois. We are a hunt test and professional retriever training facility. We also offer obedience training and boarding for large breed dogs at our facility.
Our facility is located on 102 acres of prime training ground with a technical pond and a swim by pond designed to fit the needs of the dogs we train. In addition to our 102 acres, we have access to hundreds of acres of training property around our training facility. Meet the Owners and the Dog Trainers
Chad has been training dogs since 1987. He started hunting at the age of 10 and purchased his first bird dog at the age of 15 and has been training dogs since. He has trained and hunted over Viszla’s, German Shorthairs, Setters, English Pointers and of course waterfowl, upland hunting retrievers, such as Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Chad does obedience training, force fetch, started dogs, seasoned dogs and finished dogs. Chad and Crystal also provide boarding for dogs at the kennel as well. Chad was born and raised in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Chad and Crystal have been together since 2004. Crystal helps Chad with all aspects of the dog training on a daily basis. Crystal started training and hunting with Chad in 2006 when she bought her first hunting dog. Chad and Crystal are great trainers and train very well together. They are members of the Hunting Retrievers Club.
